We are delighted to be working with Healthy Families Far North to get the Kāeo Sowing Machine up and running again! Together we scrubbed and painted, installed boxes with pots, soil and seeds and immediately the first kids arrived to try it out. They enjoyed getting their hands into the soil and planting their beans. The rejuvenated Sowing Machine looks great now and already children (and their adults) are enjoying it.
We are planning to develop the little stand beside it into a seedling/produce exchange stall. So: next time you are in town, head to the playground and check out the refreshed Sowing Machine!
