Myra’s role consists of welcoming visitors, coordinating staff training, and assisting our Clinical Services Manager to achieve a quality of service for our kaumatua/kuia at Kauri Lodge. She loves seeing the smiles and happy faces of our residents, visitors and staff in a supportive environment.
Myra is connected to this rohe, “My Maori bloodline has been part of Whangaroa prior to the colonisation of Aotearoa.” She likes to take walks with her whanau along the beach at Tauranga Bay, as well as hiking, fishing, swimming, and kayaking.
When asked about Whangaroa Health Services Myra said, “People should use our service because we are a supportive, small, family-friendly aged residential care facility who care very much for our kaumatua/kuia and look for ways to improve their quality of life and utilise resources to create deeper connections with our wider community.”
