Food Resilience in Whangaroa

A long journey of research came to fruition last week as we celebrated the joint efforts of Whangaroa Health Services, Healthy Families Far North and Te Rūnanga o Whaingaroa. Thank you to everyone who shared their memories of mahinga kai in the region, and to all those who did the mahi collaborating these insights.

Hopefully this report can serve as a starting point for food security across the rohe, and be useful to other rural regions in Aotearoa. It explores what is needed to build a food secure and resilient Whangaroa.
