Oral Health

Free community-based dental care

Each year from when your child turns one until age 18, they are entitled to a free yearly check-up. A good reminder is to book each year around their birthday – this will ensure their teeth stay strong and healthy and will also give you an opportunity to learn some great tips and tricks from the dental therapist; use it as a time to reset and put some whānau goals in place around oral health.

If the oral health or dental therapist identifies any staining, calculus or tooth decay they will discuss treatment options with you. You may need to come back for another appointment.

It's easy to enrol...
